A FESTIVAL FULL OF FLAVORS & EXPERIENCES

Around 30 exhibitors from Slovenia and abroad present their spicy sauces, fiery snacks, unique spices, and culinary specialties. Whether you prefer mild or extreme heat, there’s something for everyone!

The festival features cooking workshops, tastings, expert talks, and a unique opportunity to meet chili growers and producers of the spiciest delicacies.

ONLY THE BRAVEST TAKE ON THE SPICY CHALLENGES!

One of the festival’s highlights is the two legendary competitions:

🏆 National Championship for Hudičev Kotel – A cooking competition where teams of chefs prepare the best “ČILI CON ŠMARJE”. Creativity, cooking skills, and spice mastery are key. The jury evaluates taste, presentation, and preparation, and the winners earn prestigious awards and the title of the best spicy stew masters.

🌍 National Championship for Zlati Habanero – A competition for the bravest chili eaters, where contestants face increasingly hotter chilies. From the first mild bite to the hottest chili bombs with millions of Scoville Heat Units (SHU). New in 2025: This competition is now part of the world-famous “League of Fire,” allowing Slovenian contestants to compete in the global chili-eating rankings!

The event will be hosted by Aleš Novak and Shahina Waseem, known as @ukchilliqueen on Instagram – an undefeated champion with an incredible 97 chili-eating wins!

The festival is not only a paradise for chili lovers but also a fun-filled event for the whole family. Every year, we provide:
