This year, the Chili Festival once again brings you an unforgettable experience with two unique competitions:
🌶️ National Championship for Hudičev Kotel – Who can prepare the best “ČILI CON ŠMARJE”?
🔥 National Championship for Zlati Habanero – Who can eat the spiciest chili?

COMPETITION: HUDIČEV KOTEL 👨🍳
Can you prepare the best “ČILI CON ŠMARJE” and win the prestigious championship title?
🔹 Who can participate?
-A team of 2 to 4 competitors
-Preparation of at least 30 portions of the dish
-Own recipes and secret spices are allowed!
🔹 How does the competition work?
✅ The organizer will prepare the competition area with tables, workstations, access to water, and a selection of chilies
✅ Teams bring their own pot, burner, gas, meat, and other ingredients
✅ Cooking time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (180 minutes)
✅ The jury will evaluate taste, preparation, and workspace organization
✅ The best teams will receive gold, silver, and bronze awards
🏆 Special Award: The team that sells the most portions will receive a special recognition!

Due to space limitations, each team will be provided with a fire brigade table, bench, and a designated cooking area. Please consider this when determining the number of team members.

COMPETITION: ZLATI HABANERO 🔥
OFFICIAL “LEAGUE OF FIRE” EVENT
Do you have nerves of steel and a fireproof stomach? Who can eat the spiciest chili and last the longest?
NEW IN 2025: This year, the Zlati Habanero competition will be part of the world-renowned League of Fire – Chilli Eating Champions!
This means that competitors’ results will be recorded in the global ranking of the world’s best chili eaters! 🌍🔥
The competition will be hosted by Aleš Novak and Shahina Waseem, known on Instagram as @ukchilliqueen – an undefeated competitor and 97-time chili-eating champion.
🔹 How does the competition work?
✅ 10 rounds, each competitor randomly draws a chili
✅ Chilies must be eaten within 3 minutes – no spitting or vomiting
✅ Breaks between rounds cannot exceed 5 minutes
✅ No liquids or food allowed! If a contestant drinks milk or stands up from their seat, they are disqualified
🏆 Winner: The last competitor standing who eats the most chilies, does not drink milk, and does not quit
🥈🥉 Second and third place winners will also receive a trophy
🔥 Additional Prize:
The competition winner will be entered into the official League of Fire world rankings, where they can compete with the world’s best chili eaters!
